Well now… That depeds. How likely were the rest of the all to suffer direly? And likely they were to suffer thus if some managed to escape? Letting them be for a moment so you may save more later is far better than saving some and having the rest suffer for that,, mayhaps even permanently. But in any case, first one should see how the situation really is, so in that sense going to the plant is a good idea.
