Oswald is like a child. He has learned new things, but don’t know when or where to implement them.
“But Diane said it’s polite to always introduce one’s self and their companions.”
“Yes and that is indeed a very polite thing to do, but there is also time and place to concider for that too.”
“Shouldn’t you be polite in all situations at all the time?”
“Well, you could, but many a times it is just more efficient to cut off some formalities. We don’t always need to know the name of the one standing besides us, as long as we can trust them to do so for us as well.”
“But how would you know if they’d do that if you don’t even know their name?”
“It’s a matter of trust. Even knowing them does not mean you can always trust me in everything.”
