See? See? Oswald’s shield can’t hold them. So they can’t be real. Nothing real could ever bypass Oswald’s shields. Right? ๐
Anyhow… Things are really, really, reaaaally getting interesting here… Yet again.
Wrong. ๐
See, I TOLD “all y’all” this had the smell of one of JDC-ONE’s insane plot twists. ๐
And this one… is going to be trouble.
Remember, that powerful fae (Malkik?) in FALLEN GODS walked right through Oswald’s shield as it if wasn’t even there – and he was as real as anyone ever gets in these tales. ๐
As the DUNE lovers here point out, it is simply a matter of knowing how.
Though I wouldn’t be surprised if Oswald is letting this one in to get their side of the tale before making his judgement.
Not to mention that Oswald first underestimated Malkik. That can happen even to the best of us. But the second time Ossy faced him, Malkik was more than surely “captivated” by his enquiries. ๐
So Oswald’s shield works like the shields in Dune? Great. Now these guys know that they just have to move slowly and they can just slide right in.
I love the fact that in this episode, Oswald – indeed, a great sorcerer – is revealed as not knowing everything. This particular bit of knowledge I’m sure the mighty mouse would’ve dearly loved to know well in advance.
Now, lets not be hasty on that. It’s just our narrator who says so. Oswald might just be mistaken, but soon taking the “real facts” to count, he will no doubt count-er even the arrising threat…
Oswald, quick! Turn the field outward to a concussive blast. It should buy you enough time to make your way to the source. Which I’m guessing is some sort of nightmare daemon, because what else could effect diezens born from the thoughts of dreamers so suddenly if it isn’t anouther dreamer? Wait, is pie guy the dreamer?

The slow blade penetrates the shield.
