I think Her goal is not to destroy Oswald. As said, she would have at least tried that, if not even done that, already.
She clearly sees Oswald as closer to an equal to Herself. How correct She is will be told now. Maybe. As we have already seen Oswald unwillingness to resort in combat.
Lady Shroom is apparently a druggie and not happy that Oswald wants to make her quit cold turkey.

I don’t think infinite means all powerful, but that she never needs to replenish her mana or take an extended rest to keep doing spells, and probably an element of never dying of old age
