Now I’m more than certain that Baba is not telling the whole truth.
But I still say, that if Baba really wanted to fool Oswald, she’d have told him that she ate the fae she now claims to have saved. All the while running from the funky fungusses.
But really. With this comic and its writers, I’m open for any possibilities. Which really marks a good comic.
Of being the big fat liar you are, O Not-So-Great Boo-Boo. No one lies to her own discredit and this tale she tells is contrary to her history of perverse self-interest.
See, I TOLD you Oswald had her in his moral crosshairs. I look forward to these next several strips!
Actually, I thing Baba may be telling the truth. She was already scared of how powerful the Great Lady was even before she was freed, and now that she’s on a rampage and gaining even more strength by capturing the fae, naturally baba wouldn’t want her getting any stronger. After all, the Lady could already destroy Baba if she could catch her, so it’s best for Baba to gather as many other fae around as possible and possibly defeat the Lady, or serve as a shield while Baba takes the opportunity to find a safe place to hide.
Is there a reason Oswald is saying his own name as if he is addressing himself..?
It’s because she calls him ‘mouse’ on the previous page, and he is correcting her.
Ah, right. I guess the page break made it harder for me to notice that.
