Since I’m world building here, lol, I wanted to give some of the fae different characteristics in the way they react and live in the world.

So the Pix like all of the other fae are immortal but they go through reverse cycles of aging.

They get really old then they stop and then they start to age in reverse.

It’s a shoe I threw in there in hopes of it forcing me to write the story that will explain it.

One day, it’s coming like all the rest :)

Wait, “The great lady?” Are we speaking mushroom woman, and she hasn’t fungified these fae yet?

Baba hasn’t gotten to her yet. It may be the Lady reflects those she speaks to – so she was contemplative around Oswald, and pure evil in BY’s presence. These folks seem good and honorable, and so, if I’m right, is the Lady at the moment.

That’s a pretty cool hypothesis – not sure the world would survive, then, if she ever got around ME. The screwballitude that she’d pick up might bring the doom of man’s civilization as we know it. ;)

Now that I think about it, wasn’t it said that the shroom-folk were slumbering before the events of this story?
So seeing how the Lady can contact people far away, wouldn’t it be worth guessing that she had summoned all these fae around her, so they would be easy to capture when she was awoken?
Which would perhaps require Baba’s help, which in turn is why she was summoned when enough fae had gathered around her.
