How does that actually work? He still looks the same, probably smells the same and even though he acts… Not the same, he’s still mostly mouse to mouse-senses.

@Velgar. Mice (and rats) don’t just respond to a fellow’s scent and appearance, they also respond to behavior. Oswald’s behavior towards his fellow mice is so wildly aberrant that hostility is the ingrained response.
There is also the fact that being in close contact with humans and human domiciles changes the scent of mice and rats too. Pet rats and mice are VERY different from their wild versions and view each other with hostility as well.
