Wouldn’t work, Velgar old boy. NIMH books licensed Disney to make movies from the works, and NIMH predates Oswald.

Nein, nein. Wasn’t talking about NIMH. Don’t know how much similarities that could even have with Oswald. To my understanding the mice were rather intelligent to begin with.
I’m talking about Ratatouillle. Much more similar (even surprisingly so) as Oswald.
Or is there a Pixar movie about NIMH coming up that I wasn’t aware of? :P

@ Uhl & Velgar: First of all, the only thing that Disney had to do with “The Secret of NIMH” was to make Don Bluth so disenchanted with them that he left (taking a number of other Disney animators with him) and set up his own studio in 1979. It was distributed by MGM/UA. (Which is now MGM Entertainment and AFAIK still holds the movie rights.)

In 2009, there was talk of a re-make (after the disastrously awful “sequel”) but public opinion was such that MGM apparently dropped the idea. (I did a Google search of any news of the re-make, but can’t find anything dated after 2009.)

I find it rather disappointing to see people mistaking NIMH for a Disney film, when I knew well in my youth it was Don Bluth, who could do no wrong, besides making things too soon to snag their target market (Titan A.E.). Not surprising, I suppose, though, but still disappointing.
