Well a gift is an item or deed which has either emotional or monetary value of varying degrees. But most importantly such item or deed given to another free and even in most cases without obligation for the other to do the same.
Usually these gifts are given at a moment of varying importance, for example birthday’s. Sometimes even without such a moment, if the person getting it is instead deemed important enough for such an act to take place. This being somewhat more rare.
Many times if it is item, it is wrapped in colourful papers and other decorations, depending on the purpose of the item, nature of the moment it is given in and the overall mindset of the one giving it.
Buuut yeah. That’s pretty much it, I suppose. Others can fill in what I’ve forgotten.
