Making the sun go away may be good short term, but when the air starts turning to ice, you might want that cursed orb of light and heat back for a little while.
I’m not so sure the trolls would mind… They probably have some ways of keeping at least some of the air “to themselves” and for all we know they might even eat rocks, so “drinking” ice might not be so bad either. 😀
Not to mention there must be some masterplan behind all of this or I think the folks wouldn’t follow the true doombringer, no matter how powerful he is…
